(1) Every Nepali commercial vessel should have a name. Such a name cannot be changed without the permission of the registrar and two Nepali ships cannot have the same name.
(2) The internationally registered signal (code) name of the Nepali merchant ship having a radio broadcasting station or radio telephone arrangement should also be there.
(3) Every Nepali commercial vessel shall have its name written on both sides of the bow and its name and place of registration shall be written on the stern.
